Clogged Dryer Vents- A Dramatic Example In Fargo ND
Here is a situation where a fire was prevented. Inside this dryer vent duct was a 2 foot long section of birds nest, which clogged the dryer vent so that the dryer was getting extremely hot and taking forever for the clothes to dry.
We ended up using the vacuum to pull out the majority of the nest, which was followed by a great deal of lint that was accumulating inside the duct.
This could have been a dangerous situation. The dry lint, and dry nesting, along with the high heat generated from the dryer could have caused a dryer vent fire very easily.
